Although close to some soviet era apartment blocks it has a rural outlook across the river to the forest hillside of the national park. Small shops, vegetable stalls and two banks with atms are close by. The really helpful tourist information center and the bus station are a 10 to 15 minute walk away. The Transcaucasian trail is immediately over the river. Resimey and Amard are perfect hosts friendly, helpful and unobtrusive. Repsimey is fluent in English and Amard in Russian. Breakfasts are outstanding for variety, flavor and quantity and barbecue is equally recommended. We were booked for 4 nights but extended to 7 because it was such a pleasant place to stay and there so many good day hikes we could do in the Dilijan National Park.
