Positivt: de ansatte er hyggelige og hjelpsomme; internett er rask og pålitelig. Negativt: -Det er en $17 taxitur fra sentrum Golden. Jeg trodde for $170 vi ville bo midt i gyllent men er det helt opp i bakken før du kommer til byen. Skulle ønske jeg hadde søkt dette bedre.

Kelli S; Thank you for your feedback and comments on TA. Your kind words about my staff and internet we very nice and appreciated. I know we are located on the top of the hill and for some that may be to far. However we now have a great walking trail that leads all the way to downtown Golden. Its a nice walk up and down. By car we are less then a minute drive to the downtown area. I know you feel that we are run down, however we are in the middle of a massive renovation and update to the entire property. Everything is on its way out and all new is on its way in. I know you booked a smoking room and we do have smoking rooms available. We ask guest to smoke outside in the smoking rooms so that only designated out door areas are fit for smoking and for smoking rooms. This helps keep the rooms for smelling like smoke and disrupting non smoking guests. We have placed ash trays along the out side of all smoking rooms for those guests who wish to smoke. I guess the point of booking a smoking room is to keep our smoking guests happy by providing them with a smoking area and at the same time respect the wishes of the non smokers as well. I am well aware that our kitchenware is due for a change. Please be assured that all new kitchenware has been ordered and is part of the new renovation and update. I know we are not the same as the hotels in Banff, but we do try and provide clean rooms with kitchens to our guests. I have taken your feedback very seriously and I promise you by the end of the year we will have our renovation completed and the motel will be a different experience. Vi bodde på Golden fordi vi hadde så mye problemer med å få overnatting i Banff nasjonalpark. Dette hotellet er meget gammel og nedslitt, rommet var den verste én (men ett av de dyreste) vi har bodd på siden vi ankom i Nord-Amerika fra Australia en uke og en halv siden. Gulvene,

Christine R Thank you for your response on TA. I am sorry that you did not enjoy your stay at our property. I understand our property is older then most, however we are currently in the middle of a massive on going renovation. I am disappointed that the cleanliness did not meet your expectations. I have since spoken with our housekeeping and have stressed the importance of attention to detail about the items you have mentioned. It appears that many items were overlooked by housekeeping in your room and let me be the first to say that I do not tolerate staff missing major items in the room. Our wifi is one of the fastest in town and have never had anyone complain about it. However I have since called our wireless company and advised them of the issue and we are currently having the system looked into. Also the kitchen room that you refer to is a full kitchen that can be requested by the guest. It is attached to your room and can be opened if the guest require a full kitchen. Our lobby hours have been cut back due to a labour shortage and that is why we explain to all guests to leave the key in the room in morning and provide all paper work for check in and check out the night before. While this is not your problem, I just wanted to explain again why our front desk opens a little later. I really wish that you would have contacted our front desk in regards to your room. We would have been more then happy to relocate you to another room, or help you find another motel. I never want my guests to leave unhappy and after reading your comments I am puzzled as to why you would not bring all this to the attention of our front desk. Dear 3kidsdaddy; I just read your review about my motel on TA. Wow I don't know where to start. First let me start off by apologizing for your night stay and experience. I have no excuses for any of the issues that you have complained about. The room that you have described has been rented out several times during the summer and we have never received such criticism or complaints. What troubles me the most is why you did not come to the front desk at any point and let us become aware of the situation. I am trying to understand why after the foul smell in the air, a dirty kitchenette with crumbs all over the floor, water stains on the ceiling, dirty dishes, dirty toaster with greasy hand prints, you being terrified to use the fridge, crumbs in the sheets and stained in several spots, a bathroom with germs everywhere, a toilet seat that looked like it was never cleaned, which you found out the hard way, exposing urine and feces, as well as hairs that you assume were not from someones head you found in the shower, and finally the black mould spot on the shower curtain. After all of that why on earth would you not at least try and contact the front desk. Even in your most tired state a simple phone call by pressing "0" and we could have done any number of things. We could have moved you to another room, we could have discounted your room, or even your entire stay, we could have contacted another hotel, and lastly we could have at least tried to make your stay better then what you have claimed on TA. Bottom line is that we have a good group of housekeepers and this room in particular is being cleaned daily by long time veteran. In her 30 years of service I have never had a complaint about any of her rooms. Thank you for bringing this to my attention, we will have to sit down and have a talk with this housekeeper now. I also encourage you to contact me personally. I need to investigate this claim and I would also like to talk to you on a one on one basis. My name is Pavi and my email is pavi@goldenvillageinn.com. Vi har aldri besøkte Golden BC før og min tur gruppe og bestemte jeg meg for å bo på Howard Johnson Hotel under vårt vestkysten reisen. Vi ble positivt overrasket over den vennlige servicen vi fikk ved vår ankomst og vi ble umiddelbart vist rommet vårt for å hvile hodene våre

Jeg visste ikke hva du kan forvente når vi stoppet for natten her, men vi var fornøyde med vårt opphold. Personalet i resepsjonen var veldig vennlige og profesjonelle. Rommet var rent og sengene var svært komfortable. Mine tre barn nøyt bassenget og etter en lang dag med reise
