William and Lucinda were welcoming and charming. Our bedroom and en-suite were huge, clean and comfortable. The cooked breakfast could have fed an army, fruit juice and cereals were also plentiful. We loved it at Waldegrave Farm and cannot recommend it to others highly enough. As soon as Covid19 is over, we want to go back. Jan and Marc
Stayed for one night, made to feel very welcome by Lu, Will and Lettuce the dog. Lovely big bedroom and beautiful bathroom with huge bath. Delicious cooked breakfast x thanks for a relaxing stay. Jess and Paul
I have never stayed anywhere quite like this. It is in a beautifully out of the way and peaceful location. There was nothing to identify it as a B&B on my arrival but luckily I recognised it from a photo. There was ample parking out front, and I enjoyed the welcome from both the friendly owner and delightful dogs. The house is lovely looking and clearly much loved. Then the weirdness began. I was shown to a room which was obviously one of the family’s (i.e. not what you would expect a B&B guest room to be like). It had lots of personal effects in there, including robes hanging on wardrobe doors, and other odd bits and bobs which looked out of place. There were none of the usual tea and coffee making facilities - thank goodness I had plenty of water on me. I was offered the use of two different bathrooms across the hallway. The shower room had no soap or handwash, and no towel. The shower itself had personal toiletries scattered around and didn’t look like it had been cleaned plus there were dirty dressing gowns hanging on the back of the door. I did find a used bar of soap in the other bathroom which I had no choice but to use, and having found a towel back in my room at least had something to dry my hands on. I couldn’t face having a shower due to the state of it so had a ‘sort of a bath’! I did sleep ok, but the situation was unsettling to say the least. Thankfully the breakfast was served in a lovely dining room and was ok. It would have been nice to have had some fruit as an option and brown bread in stead of just white. The host was charming so I didn’t feel comfortable raising any of my concerns. Lovely location but I won’t be returning to this place anytime soon! …
