Utsikt over storvannet herlig bare ønske det hadde vært mer midnattssol. . . eller noen sol mens vi var der!
The storvannet camp is a good place to stay if you like camping and being a budget traveler. The cottages are clean, the view is amazing since it is very close to the water and they have clean washrooms. Hammer fest is amazing township and knows as the last town in the north
We travelled on the minivan with eight persons in three tents and were looking for the overnight in Hammerfest. We have found this camping as just a small meadow right between the street with enormous building and the lake. There are tiny kitchen but surprisingly spacious showers and washrooms. Though actually it is not very surprising because the camping obviously is focused on caravans and the most place is reserved for them. The meadow is open to the northern wind from the hills so we had to use our minivan as a wall. You should be ready that host does not speak english (we asked for the help of the another guest to be our translator) and does not accept cards. The location right in the town is good and bad simultaneously. You have the attractions and the shops in a walking availability but of course it is not wild nature so loved by the campers. However I bet you won't find other place in neighborhood to park a car and to put up tents so this place is the best choice. And nevertheless the lake and the wildflowers on the meadow are beautiful.…
