Tallawong Boutique Cabins are in a pretty and well managed compound. Our first impression was that this place has had a lot of thought put into it; the cabins themselves are spaced apart very well so there is no neighbour pollution. There is a solar heated pool for guests (although we didn't actually use it this time) and the owners are very welcoming and helpful in the extreme. We were very happy to arrive and also a bit surprised as the website photos don't do it justice. The cabins are very well appointed, spacious and yet cozy. A wood burner provides abundant heat (and romance) and for the lazy there is also an electric heater too. Everything was very clean, and the furnishing very comfortable and placed in just the right way, with only one small grumble; the mattress was extremely hard. They have a good menu for those that don't want to self cater but we only sampled the breakfast - if that's anything to go by then the rest must be just perfect too. Meals are currently brought to your cabin but I understood from Kurt, the owner, that a restaurant is in the planning so good luck with that. I used to have a small hotel of my own in the UK and know how much work is involved in providing quality that seems effortless and the owners of Tallawong have got it just right. I'd recommend this as a place to stay without hesitation.…
