I lived there from September 2017 until this October and dealt with the very intrusive, invading and inappropriate Jack. Beware of staying there, especially if you’re planning to live there long term.
Spent the winter months at this park and totally enjoyed ourselves. The owner, Jack Dietz really made us feel welcome and bent over backwards to help us with information about the area and with any thing else we required. Jack and his associate, Laura are just very special people. This site is a 55 and older community and everyone we met was just great, it made you feel as if you were among family. Jack also works very hard to make sure the grounds are kept up to his high standards. I would highly recommend East Haven to anyone who is traveling in the area, in my opinion there is no place finer, rates are reasonable and service is great. Sites for motorhomes up front are paved but a bit narrow. Sites in the back are not paved except for a few but are more spacious. Pets are welcome and a large area to walk them is provided. There is a pool and laundry area. Outside internet and cable tv are available. No Lp on property but can be ordered from local dealers and delivered. Laura also provided us with information about medical facilites, postal service, and veterinarians in the area and which were best. These people absolutely care about there customers. They are the best…
Had to mail a check to make a reservation as they didn’t take credit cards. I mailed the entire amount for our stay. Our plans changed and we called to cancel 10 days prior to our arrival. We were told that they were not refunding any of our money. Even though most campgrounds usually only keep one night if you cancel less than 2 weeks out. Stay away!
We were pleased with the cleanliness of this park as well as the attention the owner pays to the sites. Sadly, we were put in a site near the road and the road noise awakened each of us several times during the night and early morning hours. The sites are narrow and the turns to get into the site are very tight. We were disappointed in the many campers who apparently spend their winters there each year and feel it is their responsibility to warn people of all the rules and regulations and what we'd better do and not do before we had even had the chance to visit the office. They are not good for this RV park.
