The Bad: 1. the sites are gravel and require some leveling 2. Need more trees for summer months when it is hot The Good: 1. Buck, the owner is AWESOME. He is super friendly, willing to share info on where to fish, what to do, and where to go next. He is also President of the local Chamber of Commerce so he is very knowledgeable about the area. 2. They have a small laundry room (coin op) to get some laundry done 3. Great views of the mountains. 4. Centrally located in Swan Valley for fishing 5. Gas station with diesel up front with a well stocked mini-market and small fly shop!
There was only one bathroom/shower for the entire park. It stays locked with the key at the store which is closed at night. When pressed, the owner does have a few keys available. When the toilet paper in the restroom ran out, the owner suggested that the guests bring their own. I would like to think he was joking, but then I'm not sure. We wouldn't come back to this place.
This is a good park for a stop if passing through. There are trees so some shade and grass between most sites. Pull thru was easy. Sites were clean and well maintained. There is an area to sit around a fire pit. Not much of a view. There is river access across the road and fishing up and down the road -if you want to do that. The area is well known for fishing the Snake & Palisades Reservoir. We paid $31.50 with Good Sam so inexpensive. There is a store and Chevron gas station.
Beautiful mountains, not a lot to do in this town but close to Red Canyon area attractions. Be sure to take a drive to the St. George area. Hosts were friendly and helpful, our site had plenty of room between rigs.
