We have stayed at this rv Park for years. It is our halfway point. Never again! The website says cable, internet, etc. Well, nothing worked. The electric boxes are in terrible shape. Grass around sites needs mowing. Staff was very friendly. We had no problem with them. When I called to cancel our return trip reservation.....guess what? No record of it! Good thing I had found another park about 30 miles north. Even though we only stay for one night, a few niceties are required.....you know, grass mowed, working electric boxes, etc.
New owners did not want the park to stay a KOA, and it shows. This is a very old park with little amenities aside from a ok laundry room, clean showers, and ok free Wi-Fi. Flat gravel sites. Water and electric only but there is a dump station. The woman in the office was rude to my wife. When she parked the car near the laundry room she asked what she was doing. Then said you can’t park there. No signage anywhere, so be careful where you park! The rates were reasonable. The saying, “You pay for what you get” rings true here. No other campgrounds in the area. We won’t be back. We stayed here two nights.
We choose this RV park because it is close to the highway, but we did’t realize it was almost on the highway. Also, there is a railroad track righ next to this park. Between the big trucks on the highway, the high number of trains passing in the night and the number of sirens from emergency vehicles all night long, we didn’t get much rest. It would do in an emergency, but this is not a place that we would choose to stay in the future.
