Had a great time. Great location. The hot water heater went out and was fixed before we even knew it. They are on top of things here. I really appreciated the cheap ice on site. No gouging. Just put your money in the honor box and take your ice anytime day/nite. No wifi. I hope they look into this since cell phone coverage here is weak.
Not impressed, but I'm not a fisherman. Cabins are just barely ok. If you're a man and like to fish and don't need any amenities then this is your place. Most canons have small kitchen area with 1-2 little bedrooms. Just the bare necessities. Toledo bend lake access. On TX/LA state border.
its a camp on a lake. Inside was clean and roomy. Convenient for boaters with their own boat...you have covered parking at the little marina. Convenient to stores. Good little restaurant across the street.
Very easy to locate right on hwy 6 just west of Toledo town. from the hwy you mite think , did I make a mistake booking here. But when you get into your cabin you will start liking this place. When you lunch your boat and park it in one of the 16 covered stalls with power to keep your batteries charged. And 2 fish cleaning stations at the end of the stalls under the cover with power for your electric fillet knife, and running water your really going to start liking it. Staff is very friendly and easy going. PETS are Welcomed here. Cabins were very clean. Had everything we needed . pots, pans, dishes, stove, full fridge. hot shower that never ran out of hot water. open grill outside all cabins. did not see any grills neer the motel rooms. Covered deck with table and chairs. Color Tv with cable. Sorry no wifi. And cell service was spotty at best . I have ATT. Maybe other s mite work better. But I was there to fish not surf the web. Could not see the lake from my cabin, which was cabin G. But really nice view of the forest. That is the only reason it got 4 stars rather than 5. If your looking for a great place to fish out of while visiting Toledo bend I recommend Bridge Bay Resort. And yes we caught fish while there. Don t listen to the locals, they will mislead you on HOT SPOTs. We caught most of our fish on the Texas side in 2 to 4 ft of water. Yes bass, perch, an catfish. All in 2 to 4 ft of water. And I was there the 4th of july.…
Cozy little cabins to stay in right on the water. Great place to stay on a fishing trip. Love the view of the place. State park is not far from the cabin, within walking distance. Great little restaurant at the end of the road to eat at. Boat slip comes with a cabin rental. Rates were really good I think about $100 a night and that was for a 2 bedroom, 4 bed cabin.
