We thought we were going to have a nice quiet getaway in Pioche to celebrate my 40th birthday. Little did they tell us when we reserved the cabin that we would literally be in the middle of a construction zone. There wasn’t really evidence of the construction when we arrived the first evening. But we were woken up before 6 am each morning to the sound of cement trucks, hammering, banging, etc....just feet from the cabin door. The cabin itself was cute and comfortable, and the employees at the mini mart were all very nice. It would have been perfect otherwise. I just think they should have disclosed that there was construction going when we made the reservation. I wouldn’t recommend staying here anytime soon unless you are an early riser or a heavy sleeper.
We were in Pioche as part of our Photo Club's expedition to the area. There are 3 cabins, all spotless, large, and very comfortable. Each room has a fridge, microwave, toaster. and a full-sized coffee maker. The bathroom is very large, with lots of shelves. The bed was really comfortable. There's free wifi. The cabins are on Main Street, so finding a restaurant is easy. They're behind Tillie's, a convenience store open most of the day and into the late evening. Really a great find.
