If you’re looking for a break that lets you experience country life, that is also fun for the kids, then you need to stay here! Lovely and peaceful with self contained accomodation, comfy chairs and beds, the Kids had a ball doing the farm tours, the staff and owner were very obliging. Highly recommended!
Expecting great things from all the 5 star reviews...... Unfortunately for us, it was so far from the truth. As we arrived, it immediately set in that we were on an animal farm; the smell and the horse or cow poo on the pathway and around the porch. We knew we had booked to stay on a farm, and we are not foreign to farms with animals, but this was out of the norm. The shack we stayed in, 1 of 6, we must have chosen the wrong one (as no one in their right mind would give it 5 stars). The furniture was outdated, the couch would have been from 1963. It is a clear sign that it isn’t a good place to stay when you throw towels over the couch before sitting on them..... No bath.... although on the website or airBnB it states a bath. Spider webs throughout, the bathroom not clean as one would expect. The master double bed, OMG we felt every single spring that was put in it when it was made, 1904! The TV remote had no batteries.... sometimes it is the little things that count - these are all moments that matter and can make or break an experience! For the price, $180 per night, yes $180, it certainly is not near that, which is why I felt the need to share this feedback and hope, the owners consider new furniture to bring the place out of the mid 1900. One and only highlight was the animal tour, the guide was fantastic - thank you!…
Tarnasey Farm is a great spot to stay with the kids. Lovely 2 room self contained cabins with room for 3 kids and 2 Adults. There was a big bowl of complementary fresh fruit and a dozen eggs waiting for us when we got there. At 10 am every day the kids get to feed all the animals ranging from ponies, alpacas, pigs, goats, sheep, poultry and more. One word of warning book in early as the 6 cabins will fill quickly. We will definitely be going back.
