After winding our way up a hill to our destination, we were pleasantly suprised to see a modern home with a giant deck overlooking a small lake, snow covered mountains and a green valley. We were escourted to our room which consisted of a living room, bedroom and private bath with a shower. Outside our room was a hot tub and big beach towels were provided. Our bed had the nice memory foam topper and was very comfortable. Although not as charming as a victorian house or a ranch, the owners had fun collections of models, antique toys etc. We were there two days and both breakfasts were outstanding. Day one we had a pretty goblet of fresh fruits and berries, a big platter of bacon, a made to order cheese and spinich omlette, homemade biscuits and plenty of coffee and orange juice. Breakfast two was apple "Dutch Babies" (like a giant crepe baked in the oven), served with fresh strawberries, home made jam and syrup. She also served sausage links, coffee and orange juice. Our Inn keepers, Pat & Bill were gracious hosts and made us feel welcome and well cared for.…
The rooms are dank and not very clean---there were also mice. There was no afternoon tea, and the breakfast was skimpy and inconsistently prepared. The cost is outrageously expensive for the quality, but also for the area.
We booked into this bed and breakfast for one night and were not impressed. The rooms are in a daylight basement of the owner's home and although they have a great view of the lake, they are filled with a mishmash of unappealing and very used furnishings. The only attractive decor in the room was in the form of the bed linens. The location is handy for Manson and Chelan and it seemed clean, but no attempt has been made to make the rooms special or inviting.
