I travel a lot, for both work and pleasure, and stay in a lot of motels and hotels, as well as campgrounds and RV parks. I took a suite for $129 after taxes and got a hug bedroom, large eat in kitchen, big bathroom with walk in shower, a sitting area. It is clean, has a good quiet AC / heating system that you can barely hear running. Big comfy beds and pillows. Everything you could ask for in a hotel - except decor. This motel is pretty on the outside but the rooms are planted a rather blah ugly yellowish colour; but that's its only drawback. The staff is friendly, and the manager let us check in at 11 am so I could prepare wedding flowers, make bouquets etc. I will stay here again.
This is a 2 story motel with several different types of rooms. We stayed here with family for an event and the accommodations were just fine. It is an older facility but has seen a major renovation. We found the beds to be clean and comfortable. It is just off of the highway and a block behind is the railway track so we expected it be very noisy but the train didn't seem to blow the whistle and either the highway wasn't too busy or the room was sound proof enough that it didn't bother us. This is a typical small town motel that caters to work crews but they did their best to meet out needs. If we were in this area again we would stay here, It is relatively expensive for what you get but as I said it was clean and the AC worked. The room had a microwave and small fridge.
We had stayed in this motel about 8 years ago and were totally disgusted with it. Because it is the only motel in town and it has been completely renovated since, we decided to stay again. This time we were very happy with our stay. The room was very roomy and had all the necessities to make for a comfortable stay. There was a huge walk in shower. The owner was very helpful when we did not know how to turn the TV on. The price was the lowest we paid on our entire trip. I certainly would recommend this motel if looking for a low budget motel room in this area.
