William “the Silent” of Orange, founder of the Netherlands, was murdered by Balthasar Gerardts in the Prinsenhof in Delft in 1584. Not the last political assasination in the Netherlands! This picture shows the bullet hole in the wall next to the staircase to his room as a silent -and quite famous- reminder.

This is the Bottle Green Seaform with Marigold Lip Wrap by Dale Chihuly. It was given by president Clinton and his wife Hillary to the Netherlands during their visit in 1997. Now on display at the Groninger museum.

If you always wanted to see the Van Gogh museum in Amsterdam, better go before 26 May 2019. The temporary exhibition about David Hockney really adds value! Note be aware - The Starry Night is NOT in Amsterdam but in the MOMA in New York.
