As the brewery representative I feel as though I can say a few things regarding the small selection of beer available in the brewery restaurant.
Corona hit us hard as a small brewery, especially not helped by the forced closure of our restaurant, which is almost the sole area of our sales. Regarding prioritisation, it was not really about which area is prioritised regarding profit, but more about which areas could be opened without actually losing money by doing so.
Now that there are vaccinations and relaxed laws, we can plan to begin production again, but for a very long time there was a lot of uncertainty. Especially regarding the decision about whether we would be allowed to stay open once restrictions had been lifted and since brewing is a process which requires time for fermentation and storage, we needed to be sure we weren’t spending time and money just to have to close again and potentially waste more beer.
Obviously, I’m sorry that we didn’t meet expectations this time around, but I hope you find your way here again. Hopefully by then I should be back at work and the beer on tap will be fresh and refreshing.
