Thankyou very much for your review of your recent stay at The Grand Okan Hotel.
I am so sorry to hear you didn't enjoy some aspects. As we personally met several times during your stay, you did not mention these problems to me so I am unable to do anything about them now !
All our rooms are 18 square meters as stated on the web site and have an adequate wardrobe space and balcony space. As you have stayed in apartments before, I presume you were expecting the balconies to be bigger but as you can see from the photos of the hotel, all balconies are the same.
All our food is definately not monotonous or in a sauce every day. We serve food which is of Turkish origin and which has the correct dietry requirements. At least twice during the week, we serve fresh fish which is grilled to perfection and once a week we have a Turkish night where the food is served outside and includes a variety of Turkish dishes from different regions. After checking the menus for the duration of your stay, I can confirm that we did not serve any lamb while you were here and the rest of the food is either beef, chicken and turkey.
We will have new signs for the food which will have the details for guests with allergies and diet preferences. Thankyou for pointing that out.
The reason that you receive the written paper on arrival, is that we have found that many people do not read the information book in their room. This paper gives details of meal times and safe deposit does say, that due to health reasons we ask you not to take food and beverages into the room from outside the hotel. It does not mention anything about soda and chips. Many of the shops have had the water outside under the sun and we do not think this is healthy for our guests.
I am trying to understand why you said that after 16.00 hrs nobody speaks English and nobody understands you. After all, you had much help during your stay due to the problem with your friend and her family.
